We are blessed and he is definetely a survior!

During his ordeal he suffered damage on his left side of his brain of which he will begin therepy tomorrow.

A Cyber-Brother O' mine, the HoggBoss, has moved back to Arkansas and is living with me and mine!
He is to aid my ventures with his contracting skills. The idea is I buy, he fixes, we profit. Wish us luck!
It's kinda cool having a henchman aound. He gets along well with the family, and his living quaters is a cool arse out building on my properity, so it works not being ontop of each other, and all parties has it's space!

Gabriels 1st day of work!

I had a spirtual day on 03/21/07 whereas my first born son came with me to work. Gabriel had no school as he was on spring vacation and I thought he might enjoy hanging with me and his uncle Jay at work.

We were wiring 16 cameras into a DVR (and multiplexor, to a matrix) which meant that all of this days work was in the UPC closet, so it was light work. Well we all had a blast!
Gabriel was not standing around, he worked! Handing cables, feeding cables, getting tools supplies etc. It was great!!

I worked early on in my years with my father (I wired my first light switch when I was 8!), and it felt great to keep up the tradition.

I thank my boss at Total Control Systems for allowing me to bring my boy, and the folks at JB Hunt for giving my boss the ok to bring my boy.

Thanks guys, it was a great day!

Me and my 360!

Happy Birthday to me!

On February 20 I celebrated my 40th birthday!

For such an event I requested a deserving gift. My Xbox 360!

I am so proud of Microsoft, and am so saddened for Sony (even tho I HATE Sony, I feel bad). MS came onto the gaming scene and totally stole Sony’s thunder in the console gaming scene. Many may say that Sony’s Play Station 3 is superior under the hood than my 360, and that may be true to a small degree. But when you take into consideration the development of Xbox Live (Xbox’s online community) the comparison ends.

I love my Xbox 360. It makes my PC cry.

Is Hell hot or cold, interesting question answered!

This is an interesting question and answer!

HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENTThe following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term.The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God." THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A

Our son Nathan!

This post is long in the making.

On August 4th, my wife gave birth to our new son Nathan D. Merced who was delivered by C-Section.

Though born a healthy, 8lb 12oz, crying baby, he experienced blood pressure issues shortly after birth which overexerted his lungs was serious enough for he to be transferred by plane to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock on the 5th.

There Nathan stayed for 6 weeks fighting and overcoming one hurdle after another until he was well enough to come home. During his fight for life he developed bleeding of the brain which was a side effect of the ECMO process he was on from the start of his stay; as such they opened his head to alleviate the pressure the bleeding was causing to his brain.

This may cause him some neurological issues which we will have to keep a sharp eye out for. On September 16, our son was allowed to come home. We are now complete!

Check out our online photo album for more pictures of Nathan.

The amount of support and family, friends, co-workers, and well wishers was very flattering.
Welcome home Nathan, you are, and forever will be, beautiful!
May God bless us all!
Welcome home!

Finally!!! Laptop cometh!!!

I have been probing the purchase of a Laptop for over a year now. Cost was the reason for the delay up until I read a glowing review of the Inspiron E1505, Intel Core Duoprocessor T20, which is affordable at under the $1000 mark.

Actually the computer's base was $699, but with the upgrades I added it fell just under the $1,000, which was a much easier sell the the wife than the $2,500 mark I was bracing to one day spend on a laptop.

I understand its not the portable gaming rig I wanted, but it will satisfy my portable needs for the time being. Sweetness!!!

And now IPOD!!

About 3 weeks ago I pulled the trigger on a 2 gig iPOD! Prior to this purchase I upgraded my cell phone so that I could have music on the go. The downside is that there is not much room on the cell phone to host my mp3's as I only have 40 megs storage on the phone.

Well for a while that was fine, but no more!

Now you can see this 40 year old man bopping his head to the beat of his own drum!!!

Thank you Apple for being different!!!
You make a wonderful product!
